St. Maarten: Part I

We hopped over to the beautiful island of Sint Maarten the end of April. We went for our good friends, Paul and Kristen's wedding. The whole trip was amazing. The wedding was beautiful and the scenery was breathtaking. Three days was just not long enough to bask in this goodness!

We left Dominica on April 26 and came back on the 29th.
We had to keep it short and sweet so Broc could get back to studying for the Comp.
Jack was mesmarized by all of the planes.

The Toy Story suitcase was a novelty. It was a prize possesion.
Two boys, one fun bag to pull... you imagine the drama.

Jack's classic pose. Head tilt, cheese!

Crew being his silly self!

We were able to get a straight through flight to St. Maarten. Our original flight had us stopping in Antigua, but the guys at the airport were kind enough to put us on the straight through flight. These pics were from the drive from the airport to our hotel.

We were so excited to see some beautiful clear blue water!

LDS Church

I believe the driver told us those mountains in the background were St. Barths.

We stayed at The Westin, Dawn Beach Hotel, wedding location. When we got to our room, Paul and Kristen had left us some goodies, Guavaberry Honey from St. Maarten! They are so great! They went to so much work to make sure everybody was taken care of.

They went over the top and had the whole week planned out with an itinerary of things to do during our stay here.

This was the view from our room!

Seriously we were right on the beach! Heaven!

The boys took a quick dip in the pool before we headed to the wedding rehearsal.

Bride and Maids

They had a dinner after the rehearsal at this amazing Italian Restaurant! The food was to die for!

The soon to be... Bride and Groom!

They brought out the most incredible bruschetta I have ever eaten! It had olives, artichokes, red pepper with a balsamic goodness. Oh my! I seriously wanted to eat the whole plate! Everything they served was amazing!

Everyone was so great with our boys! They took them in like they were part of the family! Crew was a little partial to Scott, Kristen's brother. He just loves him!

Sweet little toast from Kristen's dad.

Some words from Paul's Dad.

The boys were troopers! Tired from a long day, but they both took it like champs!

All ready for the beginning of purse holding!

Saying goodnight to the lobsters!

We headed back to the hotel and let the boys enjoy splashing in a real tub! Oh the little luxuries we miss!

Stay tuned for St. Maarten part II and III!
