This curious little boy turned one on July 7. I can't believe it has been one year since I held this sweet boy in my arms for the first time. I wondered then what life would be like... with two kids, what Jack would be like, who he would look like, if he and Crew would be good friends, if he would be ok growing up in a third world country- without all of the baby luxuries at my fingertips ... and now my little island boy is one! I still have a million more questions: will his hair be curly? will his eyes stay blue? ... But even though this sweet boy is one and is growing up way too fast and eating big boy food, and playing big boy toys, and tries his hardest to keep up with the big boys ... when I hold him, he is still my baby. I love this stage he is at right now. I love that he will still give me a good snuggle when he is tired, I love the laugh/growl he does when he sees something he wants, I love that he LOVES Crew (and Crew loves him too)- Jack please just stay like this forever!
A few days before he turned one, we went to the beach and took some pictures. I wanted some one year old pictures of him and had to do with what we have here in Dominica- me taking the pics. Unfortunately, that means that these are not professional pics. Oh well, they will have to do. At least we captured some classic Jack faces!

Stay tuned for the birthday posts!!
