When we moved to Dominica, we didn't think that we would be coming back, until we moved back. When we were getting ready to leave, I knew that Raeg would probably get married during our time there, and it made it even harder to leave thinking that we probably wouldn't be able to be there for the wedding. I tried to make her promise me to wait until we got back, but she wouldn't. Well, sure enough, Raeg got engaged while we were in Dominica!

Of course Crew caught it! I guess we all know what that means...
I loved that we were lucky enough to come out for their special day, thanks to Broc's parents! Unfortunately, Broc couldn't miss that much school so he couldn't come with us. It made for a very long flight (believe me- this is worthy of it's own post!) It was a bittersweet feeling. I felt so happy that I got to come out and be there to enjoy the bridal shower, endowments, wedding, and most importantly- family. But I have missed Broc. Three weeks is the longest time we have ever spent apart. I am so grateful that me and the boys were able to come out for the wedding.
6.4.11- Raegen and Wes got married! There's something about being in the temple for a marriage that just takes me back to when Broc and I were married. The feelings I felt, the excitement, the bliss of the day... seriously gives me goosebumps thinking about it! It's funny because I think about how many things I would change about my wedding, now 7 years later (dress, flowers, decor, etc...- seriously though I already am feeling dated) But I think back to how I felt that day and it is almost as if none of it even mattered. Yes it was stressful to plan, but that day came and we were together- sealed for eternity and that was all that mattered... and still matters! I love it! I love going to weddings and listening to the sealing and the amazing promises you make. I feel like I have a greater desire to be a better wife, and a better person. It just seems to put things into perspective. I hated that Broc wasn't there and I know he was hating that he wasn't there too. But it really was a perfect day... for Raegen and Wes. I can't think of a better way to start their lives together than in the temple!
This post might be a bit of a picture overload- I felt horrible that Broc couldn't be there, so I have tried to recreate the day! Here's the play by play in pictures! This is for you babe!

Who would have thought it would be so exhausting tackling these two munchkins all day?! Let's just say it was a very long day for the boys!

I LOVED her bouquet! You can't really see in the picture, but she had her parents wedding rings tied to it. It looked so cute- and smelled amazing!

Broc has written a song for his other two sisters when they got married and played it for them at their luncheon. Despite his long hours with school, he managed to write a song and record it so that it could be played at their luncheon.
I got a little emotional during this part. I felt so bad that Broc couldn't be there to play his song. This was a part of our wedding present to them- it has the words to the song on the picture. Click here to listen to the song (it is called, "Joy in the Journey")! I think Broc is so talented. I am in LOVE with the song! I thought it was absolutely perfect!
Though, I felt bad that Broc wasn't there for the wedding and to play his song, I actually felt worse that he wasn't there to help me! Seriously, I hate to admit it but I was really wishing I had an extra couple of hands during the luncheon. Jack had missed his morning nap, was now grumpy and hungry, and my attempt to feed him without getting baby food all over my dress was not a success...
I may be wrong but I think Kaelyn might kind of like ketchup!
Grandma Lesli showing Crew some of her killer moves!
They had cream filled crepes with strawberries or apples, spinach artichoke dip and a soda machine. It was so fun and so yummy! How did I not get pics of any of the food?

Not great, but probably the best one we got. Why do they always have to be stinkers when I want to get a picture? ALWAYS~

The garter...
Raeg, where did you whip that out from?

Of course Crew caught it! I guess we all know what that means...

haha, maybe in 20 years!!
Poor little Crew wanted me to dance with him the whole night. Jack tried to cut in and this is how Crew felt about that! Poor thing!

Those pictures are beautiful, what a lovely wedding and I'm so glad you got to go. I have to ask your advice though...I am going to be flying back to Utah next month for my sisters wedding and, like you, I have to do the flight alone. WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!? My kids are near the same age as yours and I just wondered if you found anything particularly helpful during your travels. I am terrified!!!!!!
Thanks so much babe for doing this post. I almost felt like I was there. Sorry I wasn't able to help with the boys. You look so beautiful in these pics and the boys are pretty darn cute too. Thanks again for doing this. I love you.
What a beautiful wedding, a beautiful song, your adorable boys, and you looked gorgeous!!! I had to admit, I am obsessed with your dress from the temple...where did you get it?? And you are amazing to be doing mommy duty all on your own :)
What a beautiful wedding. I totally get what you mean about feeling like your wedding is dated. I hope Utah is treating you well. Wish i was there.
Seriously Crystal, if you get any more gorgeous... ;) The boys are aaaah-dorable, and Broc (or should I say Doc) is as expected... AMAZING, in countless ways.
We miss you all like crazy, and can't wait to see you again someday!!!!!
